Color palettes are something that I've always been drawn to; whether it's in interior decor, weddings, or in your everyday wear, I always pay close attention to them. This particular color palette is probably one of my favorites because it's soft, pretty and a bit romantic. Total sucker for blush tones!
It's been so fun seeing all the different color palettes in each regions street style during Cotton's Road to the Runway! Really loving the classic combos like stripes, denim and red but also the more daring neon leopard with chambray in the West! Super quick post because I wasn't able to properly shoot this look (probably one of my favorite looks from last week!) due to all the holiday craze. This was last saturday at Santa Monica trying to get my last minute gifts and one of the most tiring days I've ever experienced; who knew shopping all day would be so draining?

Can't believe it's 2013 today! It's amazing to start a fresh new year and have new goals and dreams!

Happy 2nd of the new year!!!
Really excited to see what this year brings for all of us- hoping we can go through a year without any violence, natural disasters, war, or any negative energy.
As the new year begins, I'm starting my list of new goals and hoping I'm able to check a lot of the things off by the end. What are some of your goals for 2013? What about your new year's resolution? I'd love to know!
Now on to the outfit, it was a bit chilly on Sunday so this poncho surprisingly kept me warm.
Never really wear ponchos out, but thought it would be a great chance to switch things up!

It's been a couple of crazy, busy days lately so all I can and want to wear are flats to
tackle such busy days!
This look came together in about 5 minutes and it was one of those, that I try to recreate all the time because it's so effortlessly chic.
Busy morning again, but I'm excited as I'm off to Italy in a few hours! My first time in Florence, Italy and I'm beyond thrilled!!! If you guys have any recommendations as to where to go, sightsee, restaurants, shop, flea markets, etc, please let me know! I'll make a list and I will be checking that out!

Beyond excited to be in this beautiful city right now; It's always been a dream of mine to visit one day and to finally be here is mind blowing- I feel so fortunate!

We have a two-day Style Lab where the bloggers will get to style pieces from the latest collections and put together a couple of looks inspired by the 90's. So excited to do some fun 90's styling and take cool photos around the city!

Before I left LA to come to Italy, the weather went from sunny and nice to a chilly cold... nothing too cold where it's unbearable though, so I could still wear a light jacket and scarf. I don't normally wear super white jeans, but these are just too comfy and classic for me not to wear.
I love that Ive seen a lot of white and ivory colors incorporated into some of the looks submitted in my region, WEST, for Cotton's Road to the Runway! I find those two colors very difficult to style, but some of those looks uploaded did a phenomenal job in the styling! Yay for West! Just a reminder- you have until Monday, Jan.7th to submit your looks because on Tuesday the finalists will be revealed.. so hurry and upload your looks HERE (you get some nice $$ and paid trip to South Beach if you win!)

This past weekend was an incredible and super fun experience with
Luisaviaroma... for two days straight, we had Style Labs where each blogger was assigned to style 2-5 looks with their S/S '13 pieces and roam the streets of Firenze to shoot the looks!
This was my first look; a mix of cool, bold and fancy!

It was really difficult to choose pieces from
Luisa Via Roma's store during our StyleLab sessions; we had all the latest and most beautiful items to pick from!
These heels automatically grabbed my attention as I was picking things to style
my looks, they're by Etro. No need to really say anything.. they're pretty bad ass.

Today I celebrated my birthday in florence then headed to Rome to explore the Colosseum and St. Peter's Square in the Vatican City. I don't have words to describe the feeling of being there, especially on my birthday!

I'm finally back home after an unforgettable week in Florence... it's back to reality now!

A day before my birthday, we spent all day walking the beautiful streets of Firenze and trying to get to the Celine store. The warm sunlight was illuminating the streets quite perfectly that anywhere you stood to pose for a photo, the sun rays captured a perfect picture. So pretty!
These brocade velvet skinnies fit the backdrop completely!

I made it a point to make sure to visit Rome before we left Italy so we booked a couple of extra days to make that happened. Since my birthday landed while we were in Italy, my love and I decided to spend my birthday in beautiful Rome. It was the most amazing birthday at such a historic and mind-blowing city! We visited the astonishing Colosseum and attended mass inside the Vatican! So surreal!
My twirling around is a happy expression of just how excited and fortunate I was to be celebrating my birthday in front of the Colosseum... and in Rome, period.
My trusty leather jacket came along this journey with me and couldn't have asked for a cooler outfit to shoot in for my birthday! Speaking of cool outfits, make sure to pick your favorite "cool" outfit from Cotton's Road to the Runwaysubmissions!
