A couple of my favorite current things that I was so lucky to get over the weekend:

1. Fresh colorful bundle of flowers from the local farmer's market in L.A.
i love having fresh flowers around the house especially in my room; keeps the rooms looking
pretty while smelling like spring!

2. A gift box of eight delicious Vanilla Macarons from Ladurée that made it's way all the way from NYC...Lucky me! Thank you Olga!
i've been a huge fan of macarons and although they're pricey, i still try to indulge every time
i go to bottega louie- vanilla + mocha are my top faves.

What's are some of your current fave things? why?
p.s trying to experiment more with my posts/photos...I've always loved writing on photos so I thought i'd start doing that on some of mine, let me know if you guys are digging it or not?
Send suggestions too!

Since it's been gloomy the last couple days in L.A, I thought I'd cheer up in some
color and embrace the chilly weather. Since spring is slowly
approaching too, I couldn't help but start stocking up on spring items especially
 those with prints and color!
I've been diggin' Converse in my wardrobe/looks lately (worn in black here, white
here and studded here) and now these in Aruba blue from their Spring collection
-which will look so pretty with floral dresses!

Anyway, Polyvore can hook you up with some converse if you enter here.
Trust me you won't be disappointed with the prize!
Check out my collage below- two ways to style your converse!

Tried to do a lil' farmer's market shopping last tuesday but was a total fail. Half of the vendors that
are usually there on Tuesday were absent- my fave flower + fruit vendors and vintage sellers.
Left the market, completely disappointed...and a little cold (hence the jacket).
Fortunately, the weather has shifted between 85 to 90 degrees so I'm totally
excited to hit the beach!

What do you guys love to pick up at the farmer's market?

Thought I'd switch it up for today and post more artistic photos with inspirational
sayings that I love and believe in.
I always get so many emails about girls wanting to follow their dreams
but not knowing how to start.
the best advice I can give is to not be afraid to do what you love; just go out and get it. Be hungry.
It's so cliche but its so true- if at first you don't succeed, try again.. you will eventually get there.

Dream HUGE, take baby steps in working towards it and be passionate; don't let
no one (not even family/friends) tell you, you can't do it.

Hope you guys get inspired and believe in yourself!
(sorry for the cheesy-ness!)

Ever since I first wore these converse here, I've gotten a huge amount of emails/comments
regarding where you guys can purchase them (till this day!).
I felt bad because I couldn't find them online too...finally found them this morning
online but they're sold out! Ah! I will definitely keep you guys up to date with
a link for when they're back on stock! Atleast now you know the style name since
many of you were asking! :)
They're definitely my go-to sneakers and
they go with pretty much anything! I love pairing them with my leather skinnies and leather
tote bag- something about that look/mix is so cool without having to try at all.

Just got back from a super fun (but cold) little getaway weekend in San Francisco in which we
celebrated one of my bff's birthday! On saturday we visited Napa Valley for some
wine tasting and to make things just a bit more fun, my friend rented a limo to take us there!
Such good times
I thought these floral skinnies and amazing (and super comfy)
espadrielle-esque pumps would be the perfect combo to
wear to wine tasting! The scenery on each winery was breathtaking!
Can't wait to go back to SF- next time I gotta make sure to really bring weather
appropriate clothes.

Zara heels, YSL Parisenne parfum, Macarons from Lette, Vintage necklaces

Had a long day of wrapping orders from my webstore yesterday and dropping them off
at my local post office while also running many errands (including picking up a new shipment of
tees and dropping them off to my printing guy). Had to wind down a bit by
grabbing a bite to eat and getting in a quick shopping
fix at Zara. Had been eyeing these black heels for a while now so I was happy they
had my size; a classic must have.
On my way home, I had to pick up some macarons as a treat!
It was a goooood day.

How do you treat yourself after a long day?
Happy Wednesday!
Off to do an interview!

Coat: Daryl K (c/o Bib + Tuck/Forward Fashion Project ) // Dress (underneath): Funktional // Boyfriend jeans: Zara( cute ones here  + here ) // Heels: Zara // Bag: Alexander Wang  // Shades: Ray Ban // Belt: Vintage

Finally found the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans-
can totally check it off my 'staple items I need to get' now. whew!
They have the right amount of baggy-ness (without looking unflattering) and distresssed
details; I'm such a sucker for all things distressed.
Anyway, it was extremely windy this day
(it almost even knocked me over a few times...also hence my hair flying everywhere) so this
wool pancho-esque did the trick of keeping me warm.
I loved wrapping around a pretty vintage belt to accentuate my waist to pull the whole look
together!

ps- Don't forget to RSVP (RSVPLA@31philliplim.com) for the Refinery29 x 3.1 Phillip Lim
event I'm helping host tomorrow!

Sorry for the grainy looking photos; I just didn't snap any photos with my camera but I still
wanted to show you guys the amazing matching suit I wore- undeniably freakin' bad ass.

Hi guys!
Sorry for not posting yesterday- spent my whole day doing Jury Duty.
Luckily I didn't get called to be one of the jurors so I was dismissed..anyway, since I wasn't able
to shoot an outfit yesterday, I decided I'd do my Style Looks (it's been a while!). I always get emails asking to post about classic pieces that can be worn different ways!
Here I'm taking my fave piece: the military/parka jacket and styling it in 3 different ways.

First Look: Is a little more fun and daring; the jacket definitely pulls the outfit together. Play
up your printed trousers with a striped tee- its my fave look!
This outfit is perfect for attending an art exhibition or attending a cool party!

Second Look: This has 'Jules' written all over it! Totally my style- I think pairing dresses (fancy
or not) with sneakers is a lot cooler than wearing them with heels. Try it out with classic sneakers
like converse with your next dress outfit and you'll see (and feel) how effortlessly cool you'll look!
This outfit is perfect for a day of shopping with your girlfriends!

Third Look: This is a bit more put together but with an edge! Play with different textures/prints like leather to give your military jacket some edge! Add cool details like leopard or a studded belt for
the perfect touch!
This outfit is perfect for a lunch meeting followed by a dinner date!

Remember- the goal is to have your military jacket be the key piece..don't be afraid to mix and match!
Which style look is your favorite?

Low-Key.

Sweater: Vintage // Skirt: Tucker for Target // Sneakers: Converse (customized w/studs) // Bag: A. Wang // Watch: Fossil // Sunglasses: MBMJ //

Default outfit: sweater, pretty skirt and my go-to Cons.
Can't ever go wrong with an outfit like this, I tell ya.

Fact: Was actually selling this skirt on Sunday's Blogger Market, and no one ended up taking it...
since it was 1 of 4 pieces left in my rack of things that I didn't sell, I ended up bringing it
back with me and keeping it! So glad no one bought it- it adds the right amount of sparkle to
my look!
Btw, thank you to everyyyyyyyyone who came to the Blogger Market despite the rainy weather on Sunday!
It was such a great turnout and so much fun (total success!)
Highlight of the day was meeting so many of you (my readers!)...
thank you for coming and saying hi (special hello and thank you to Rosie!!)
Stay tuned because we just might make this
a monthly flea market.... :)
