In a creative environment, it's easy to just have fun and not be afraid to look bold or eclectic. But sometimes
you still gotta polish up for meetings or presentations, although I've never really been the
suit type of girl,  I still love me some tailored pieces and blazers.

A couple of days ago, I had a meeting and since it was more on the dressier side, I thought red skinnys
can be fun to dress up. My kind of dressing up may differ from everyone else, but a good ol' blazer always
does the trick for me. Fancy heels and a killer clutch topped off my meeting look.

simple but bold with the striking red.

Perfect clutch for on the go! It's great for traveling too; I use it to put all my essentials, and small camera.

Total LA backdrop huh? love.

These really cool white with silver jacquard snake jeans definitely spice up your typical boring white jeans! The subtle print/texture gives your look that extra je ne sais quoi effect that we all need sometimes.
The pop of chartreuse is perfect for spring- it's light, airy and fresh.
It's a subtle print/texture but with a bold statement! You gotta love that.
Ah, these heels are sexy without trying too hard. The lucite touch is sick!
Such a easy combo to wear; and we all have basic pieces like this silk button up.. transitional look from day to night. Just
switch out your blouse and wear a black silk tank and leather jacket!
Jeans: 7 FAM |  Blouse: Madewell  |  Heels: Sigerson Morrison

This look was inspired by 7FAM's new multimedia campaign that focuses on a film titled,
"A Beautiful Odyssey," which was inspired by William Blake's poetry and imagined/directed by
my favorite, James Franco (swoon!). What's sooo cool about this, is that we as the audience get to have a say in the campaign/film. We get to decide how this exciting and romantic story unfolds by casting our vote HERE

Chapter 2: "Who Truly Has Her Heart" is finally out and
I hope you guys vote for the fella you think she should stay with! I already voted.. (hint: I voted for the one, she looked more happy, comfortable and compatible with...trust, I could tell!)

Stay tuned for Chapter 3: "What Will Be Their Ultimate Fate"... this is getting juicy!

Absolutely love wearing oversize jackets; it's such a bold statement. This particular one is slouchy and gives you
a cacoon shape when you tie the bottom strings! Cute!

It's been a super looong weekend and so stressful. I was supposed to fly out to Brazil yesterday (sunday) for a fun
collaboration but unfortunately I'm stuck back in LA. I got to the airport to check in my luggage and they asked for my Visa.
My first reaction was "Visa??"... " I didn't know I was supposed to have one!". At that point, I'm freaking out because
my flight is departing in an hour in a half. The airline lady says "Yes, you need a visa to get into Brazil, I can't let you
on the flight!"....  "OMG!" is really all I could think. I tried making a few phone calls to see what was the best thing to do..
but unfortunately since it was Sunday, nothing was opened to try and figure out my visa. The waiting around took almost all day yesterday and today.. went to the Brazilian Consulate this morning to try and get it expedited it but, even then it
takes too long!

Long story short, I'm still in LA and not in beautiful Brazil. The visa takes too long to obtain therefore I won't be flying to Brazil
anymore! soooooo bummed!! Devasting! It could have been worse, but still.
Hopefully we'll figure something out soon so I can head that way asap!
My go to colors when nothing seems to work: black, grey and army green.
This heel is low which makes it easy to walk in... perfect for me since I don't like to walk in super high heels.
My hair got lighter! Will post details soon!

Besides my best seller, DBA tee, this has to be my second favorite! It's just crazy cool. The fit and graphic are the best combo!
I'm a huge fan of typography/handwritting, so I knew I wanted something with cool writing. Since we are all fashion and style
lovers, Viva La Moda! was the perfect phrase!
Have some fun and pair your tee with a bold, statement sequin skirt for a super fun look!

I always like to keep my jewels to a minimum and very simple. It's little details like that, that make or break your outfit.
Threw on a baseball cap for a more effortlesss & playful look... plus the wind was just crazy!
Such a sporty-luxe look! Shinin' bright like a diamond with that skirt! :)

Stripes are always a refreshing print to wear; especially if they come in bright colors like this blouse.
It's perfect to mix and match with. Totally re-wearing this blouse with
tailored floral shorts for a spring fever look!
These green coated jeans added the right amount of color to bring out the boldness from the blouse.
This ring-bracelet combo has been my go-to piece as of late; it's dainty to be worn on its own, or layered how I have.

As you know, this past weekend I helped host our Blogger Bazaar where a few of our LA blogger friends and brands gathered to sell some of our goodies. Given that we put it together in three days, the turnout was incredible!! So many people came to support and shop our booths; it really did blow my mind! It was such a fun and positive event that everyone truly enjoyed. We had some friends DJ the bazaar, great food by La Guelaguetza, drinks by PBR and Jarritos, cupcakes, I mean.. it was pretty fun!
Best of all, we had the amazing opportunity to meet our adorable/sweet readers. It was an absolute pleasure meeting them, chatting with them and taking photos with them. I can't express how thankful I am to be able to have such loyal readers.

Thank you to every single one of you who came early or late, stood in line for hours in the sun or drove from far, we love you guys and couldn't have asked for a better crowd. thank you!!!!!
We hope to bring you another bazaar soon!
THANK YOU to everyone involved in the event; couldn't have done it without you!

We are going back to 7 For All Mankind and James Franco's
"A beautiful odyssey" film and their SS13 collection.

A couple of weeks ago, we saw part II of the film and we were faced with the tough question of "Who truly has her heart?" at the end of the chapter. We voted, I voted.. (I had a difficult time choosing between the ex-lover and groom, but I know she has it even harder!) Now, for part III, we are slammed with yet another tough decision of "What will be their ultimate fate?" We look at the last chapter and see her in a confusing mix of emotions. Luckily, we can help!

Go to 7 For All Mankind's Facebook page to watch the last chapter and vote HERE to help
her be with the "right" fella.

These tropical paradise jeans can totally ease up and brighten up her situation.. and plus, they are the sickest tropical print on jeans I've seen! Major swoon.

I hardly ever make it out to Rodeo Drive; for 1), it's on the other side of town for me and 2) I rather stick to my usual spots for convenience but we stopped by yesterday and it was a little refreshing to hang out, do some window shopping and walk around somewhere different. Oh.. and the streets filled with palm trees made for a beautiful backdrop! Everything just looks fancier in the 90210.
Busy weekend coming up, sharing more of it tomorrow! So stay tuned!

Hi guys! What a fun and long weekend...
Sorry for not checking in yesterday...
it's been so chaotic with being away from my desktop and all so excuse my lack of posting. I just wanted to pop in to say a quick hello and to say I haven't forgotten about you all.
I was enjoying the festival in Indio and attended a few pool parties as well!
Coachella was definitely a lot of fun; especially to have all my friends in
one place is always icing on the cake.

Wore this for Day 2 of the festival and isn't this denim top the coolest thing? love it.
Just wanted to say hi... gotta run now, but I'll be posting my coachella photos this week!
stay tuned tomorrow and all week,

Palm Trees / Palm Springs

Palm Springs is about a 2 hour drive from LA, and even though it's not too far, I hardly make the effort to build the patience to drive up to it. With it's beautiful backdrops and palm trees everywhere, it's hard to resist coming back! Since I was in town for the big festival in Indio, I knew I had to pack Coachella-chic looks and this dress was the perfect fit for it!

How cute is this signage? It was an abandoned building and street- of course some friends and I stopped by for an impromptu shoot! It was only right.
I'm coachella ready! This straw hat came in handy; I pretty much wore it all weekend long.
Saved my face from burning! Total life saver!
These sunglasses always look perfect in sunny environments, don't they?
I love all the denim colored patchwork of this dress!
The back detailing is sooo cute! Love the triangle shape back!
Dress: Viva Vena! via Nordstrom |  Hat: Trouve via Nordstrom |  Sandals: Marni (similar here) |

The weather, palm trees, music, people, parties and fashion was something I was looking forward to and well... I wasn't disappointed, at all. It was pretty easy to pack for this quick trip- hello straw hats, sandals, cut-offs and denim patchwork dresses! I picked up this Coachella-chic chambray dress the day before I left for the festival and it was probably one of my favorite pieces I took with me- I transitioned it from these Marni sandals to a super-cool look with bright pink sneakers (photos coming soon).

Love this new lower line by Vena Cava; the pieces look high-end but with inexpensive price tags; love when that happens! The Savvy department at Nordstrom is bringing in fresh brands (like ASTRMural,Viva Vena!) including their own Leith and Tildon lines!
It's my go-to shop for cute pieces like this dress!
I'm partnering up with Nordstrom to do a series of looks- Exciting! Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks for more!

Hi there! I'm back to my regular posting; yay!! Makes me so happy.
for some reason as much as I love traveling, I always end up
having a hard time keeping up with the blog, so excuse if I missed a day or two.
Now that I'm back home from what seemed like forever (first NYC then Dallas and Cabo), I'm finally
sorting through all my photos to give you a sense of what I've been up to through out my travel week..

First stop- NYC. Went for a day for a super fun shoot that I can't wait to share more on later. After a long day of shooting, I headed straight to the airport en route to Dallas. It was my first time in Dallas and I must say; it's a charming city!

I flew out to Dallas to attend the fabulous RewardStyle conference in which we learned valuable information regarding our blogs, building our brand, site analytics and working with brands and other bloggers. It was very inspirational to sit in a room full of creative types who all have one goal in common: doing what we love. So thankful I was able to attend the conference and share Rewardstyle's first conference together... they put together such a beautiful event! My hat goes off to Amber (co-founder of rStyle) and Baxter and all the rS girls for doing one hell of a job!

This was my first look for day 1 of the conference! Enjoy!

Sundays are usually my off-duty days where I tend to stay away from the computer and possibly social media, although that part is always hard to do. My wardrobe attire is usually something really laid-back too only this time I threw on my favorite heels, jumper and fancy earrings to spice things up.

Spent the afternoon with my family as we did some shopping and caught up over amazing food.
Happy Monday!

Taking you a couple weeks back (I'm behind on posting photos..) when I was in Dallas attending the rewardStyle conference. A couple of us decided to explore the city a little after the conference was over for the day so we headed to eat at a local favorite Mi Cocina; being Mexican myself, I was quite impressed with the food! It was pretty good!  Earlier in the day, we did some shopping at two malls: NorthPark and The Galleria.

We didn't get to see much of the city since it was a really short trip, but I'm hoping to comeback soon to really explore all of it. I heard the vintage shopping in Dallas is insane.

After the rewardStyle conference was over in Dallas, we packed our bags, checked out of our amazing hotel ZaZa
and headed to Cabo San Lucas! I was extremely excited to spend a few days in Cabo because it had been several
years since I last visited. We wined, dined and spent hours by the pool/beach.. we took a boat ride to
Lover's Beach (which was the most amazing time I've had!.. photos to come!), visited a farm and took
cooking classes with their fresh vegetables, fruits and handmade tortillas!

RewardStyle even had customized golf carts with our blog names on the cart for the 5 bloggers so that
we can get around easily! SO CUTE!

It was one of the most refreshing and amazing trips; I loved every second of it! The food, the people, the
weather, the water.. I mean, it was priceless! Cant wait to share more photos!
This blazer fit the scenery quite perfectly!

Found this gorgeous watercolor print dress in a random little store and scored it at $4.99! Talk about bargain!
Shoppin Tip: Don't be turned off by little random shops and assume they won't carry anything you like.. just take a look, and you might just score something unexpectedly! Have fun and try out new shops/stores! You will find something!
(L): Our gorgeous view from the breakfast table! I was totally getting used to all the breathtaking views, can you blame me?
(R): My favorite sunnies for the trip; everything just seemed more fun when I wore them!
(L): Our gorgeous villa had our own butler and chef, so we would always start off with morning fruit!
(R): The different shades of blue were mesmerizing... the waves were pretty intense too!
Since it was "off-season",  the beach was literally (almost) all to ourselves. Pretty sweet!
(L): My go-to drink while in Cabo was Pi na Coladas! Most refreshing drink ever, plus how could I say no to a
 pretty looking pineapple like that?
(R): The boat ride we took to Lover's Beach was indescribable. A few seals approached us and were swimming along with our boat.. we had music blasting loud which only made us get up and start dancing while watching such beautiful view!
(L): Enjoying my view as we headed to Lover's Beach.
(R): Just me and the beach..
(L): This was the most mind blowing place I've experienced in a while. Look how beautiful that is.. seriously, nature is so beautiful.. it put so many things in perspective. We tend to get drowned in stupid, petty things or materialistic things that we forget the bigger, more important picture. Anyway, that moment made me appreciate life and the finer things a lot more.
(R): Girls just wanna have fun!
