Saturday morning started off with an amazing workout at the beach-

weather was perfect, beach/pier was a little deserted, and there

was enough cool breeze to keep me staying fresh.

So glad I decided to hold off on the gym membership- nothing beats

working out/jogging at the beach, right?

Thanks guys for helping me decide on that.

Morning everyone!
Real topic today! Working in a creative/fashion field can be so much fun when it
comes down to getting dressed for work. For one, anything pretty much goes.. and by that
I mean, you can wear bold things and have people appreciate them. Two, you
can express yourself freely and get can away with a lot more than if you were working in a
corporate job.
Since I work in both a creative/fashion field and from home, I obviously wear
anything and can have fun with it. Even if you're like me, and work from home...
I think it's important to dress casually, comfy and cool at home because you never know
when you're going to meet with a client, have to run errands, or anything else that
involves you being on the go. For me, it's important to get dressed casually and still look
put together (like the look on the left on my Polyvore collage) even if I'm working
from home because it allows me to feel good and be ready just in case I need to
meet with anyone. So I thought I'd show you how you can do the same if you're
working from home (or not) with wearing a staple piece everyone has
in their wardrobe: the striped tee!

Look #1 Work from Home:
Take the striped tee and wear it in a cool way with
floral trousers and a pair of sneakers for a relaxed yet eclectic look- invest in a fancier laptop
case so that you can take that with you on the go to run errands!

Summer is officially here!

Excited to have long, warm nights where the sun sets 'till past 8pm and I enjoy

the beach every weekend while dressing in light attire.

Speaking of light attire, this whole outfit is as light as it gets- kept me completely fresh

a couple of days ago when the weather was in the high 80's.

Each piece in this look has become a current fave; givin' me many other looks to play with!

I love me some versatile pieces <3

Nike x Liberty London SS '12

My jaw dropped when I opened the fedex box that arrived at my door steps a

couple days ago. Before I knew what was in the box, I opened the package and

there laid a beautifully round box with my name printed on the front- it was almost

too pretty to open (it's the box above underneath the sneakers)... I'm definitely keepin' it

and displaying the box somewhere for sure. Anyway, ever since I can remember,

I've always been into wearing sneakers.. dating back since middle school and high school

( i wore dunks, jordans, and converse the most).. I think working sneakers into your wardrobe/looks

is quite challenging but for me, it's a part of my lifestyle- easy, comfortable, and effortless.

So, as you all know I love wearing sneakers 'till this day, so I was ecstatic when I finally

opened the box and found a gorgeous pair of Nike x Liberty dunk sky high sneakers for their SS '12

collabo! I meaaaaannnn...

Definitely reminds me of my high school days, but I will obviously wear them

so much differently now.

They're absolutely gorgeous and best part? They have a HIDDEN WEDGE! Yessssss!

You know the hidden wedge trend on sneakers has been so hot lately with Isabel Marant and all..

so these are damn right perfect for its hidden wedge, print, colors and its classic model.

Super excited to incorporate these into my looks and show you guys how they can be styled.

Summer Lovin'.

These white cut offs are going to be a summer staple.. for sure.

They're easy breezy and it just so happens that any top that I throw on with it seems

to look picture perfect- definitely not complaining.

Anyway, notice my nails are painted two different colors on each hand? Well I couldn't

decide on a color, so went for two different colors. I will compile

a list of my fave nail polishes that I usually wear since you guys are always curious to know.

( That should be fun!)

It's finally the weekend, so I'm signing off..

My go-to pieces always consists of versatile pieces- like my fave Zara jeans- that can

be worn practically everyday, differently. I often get asked what are some staple items

necessary for any girls wardrobe and it really all depends on your style but for me,

these are my top ten:

1. Boyfriend jeans

2. Motorcycle jacket (like here and here)

3. Striped tee or blouse (preferably in black/white, like this or color here)

4. Blazer

5. Skinny jeans

6. LPD (Little pretty dress...not necessarily black for me)

7. Button up blouse

8. Tailored shorts

9. Olive green parka

10. Skinny belt

I finally wore my sneakers to troll around downtown and enjoy the gorgeous weather

we've been having lately while sitting outdoor to enjoy a

good drink and meal with my lovey.

It was a little too hot to wear jeans (i was originally going to wear these with jeans)

but since that didn't work out, I thought I switch it up and wear them with a LBD to really

show off the shoes. Kept it simple but comfy...

btw, it was a lot more challenging to style these that what I thought but

I still love 'em.

I used to wear a lot of hats a couple years ago; I think they're such a good accessory that

can add a cool factor into your looks. It works great when you just want to cover up those

bad hair days too.. and trust me, I have a lot of those days!

This hat was the perfect touch to my look; not only did it keep my hair in place from

the windy weather this day but it definitely complemented the rest of my outfit.

ohh and not sure why I don't get much use out of these heels, they're beyond comfy!

Off to start my day!

Picked up this awesome bee print blouse at Anthropologie last week and was immediately drawn
to it as soon as I saw the print! So cute!
I initially had a different look in mind with it, (i think about outfits in my head before purchasing the item) but I was running out the door and running super
late that grabbing any bottom would have to do. I will have to show you guys what I really
had in mind with this blouse.. nonetheless, it ended up working out because
the weather was scorching hot and the wedges made it easy for me to get around...
oh and the pony tail was the perfect touch to show off the low v-neck cut.
ps. getting alot of q's regarding my nails- not sure what color it is, but they're gel nails!

Off to a fun little getaway with my close friends to celebrate my friend getting married soon and

my other friends birthday! We changed our mind twice on deciding where to go- we first

were going to head to Vegas but decided it wasn't "us", then we thought of Santa Barbara for

a more relaxed little trip and later we felt it wasn't hip enough...

We then ended up with San Diego; which is a couple hours away and since we've all never

really been, we thought we'd give it a shot! We're staying by the beach so these

are a couple of things I'm bringing with me- 3 bathing suits total and some pretty pieces I've

picked up recently!

Really excited to layout, get (more) tanned, eat amazing food, do a

little shoppin', take photos and just have fun!

A few snaps from the lovely San Diego.
Totally fell in love with San Diego- there's so much to look at, great restaurants,
a cool nightlife, amazing beaches and fun shopping!
Unfortunately, I got super sick ( a got a cold + sore throat) while there and
it made things a little difficult for me to enjoy doing things.
I guess that's just another reason to head back there and explore what I couldn't
when I was sick!
Thank you guys for the recommendations- didn't get to check out everything, but i wrote
down all your recommendations for next time!

Now.. I'm going to rest.. I still feel sick and my voice is a hot mess! It's sooo raspy!

Anyway, I'm still a little sick with a hella of a raspy voice ( i'm actually starting to dig my voice)

but I'm excited for 4th of July tomorrow! It's usually a whole lotta of craziness and fun bbq's/parties!

So excited to finally share this fun and cool photoshoot I did last month in collaboration with

Gap's styld.by campaign and Rue Magazine! Styld.by is a new online catalogue

where Gap partners up with influential online sites like Rue Magazine, WhoWhatWear, Refinery29, Hypebeast, etc to showcase Gap's latest pieces with today's young and hottest voices!

This month, the magazine chose a couple of their favorite bloggers to be a part of the campaign and lucky me, I was chosen! So flattered to be a part of it!
Take a look at the outcome below!

I was extremely happy when I was starting wardrobe change and checked out the Gap piece I was going to wearing because it happened to be one of my favorite prints!- Stripes!! You all know

I'm a sucker for stripes, so this red & white tank stripped tank was the perfect piece for me because

it was totally me. Also, loved the way the stylist paired it with the floral neoprene skirt!

Angela, the lovely photographer was beyond sweet to work with! The sort of bokeh effect of these photos was her bright and genius idea to put some sort of beaded necklace over the lens! So cool!

My Saturday was spent in Marina del Rey enjoying a boat ride while we were fed the most delicious food and desserts! I didn't want the ride to come to an end because 1) I was having

such a great time and 2) I couldn't stop snacking' on all the desserts that were displayed on the dessert bar! However, I quickly had a change of heart when my panama hat flew away into the sea

as we were taking these photos- I was sooooo bummed! Definitely ruined

my outfit look afterwards; womp.

ps: went to pick up a new one at Gap right after though since it's on sale! I just had to! :)

Since this summer is reaching 100 degree weather in L.A, it was only right to get
in the spirit and wander around in tropical prints like this funky palm trees print.

Might be a bit much for some people, but i say what the heck? It's summmmmmaaa.

Went for a quick run to the bank, grab a bite to eat and to pick up my fave refreshing Jamba juice

(Razzmatazz is my go-to juice!)

yesterday after a super looooong day of packing orders. Felt really nice to finally get out of the house

in the late evening and enjoy the summer sunset and breeze.

This would be my staple look if I had to live in it for days...

simple yet cool enough to repeatedly wear it.

Oh, not sure why I have never worn these platforms by CV... decided to

take them out for a spin yesterday and surprisingly- I didn't have to

break them in because they were so easy to walk in and

super light weight; just how I like 'em.

Tried doing 4 different kinds of braids yesterday and none looked half as great as
the good ol' fish tail braid.
I really wanted to do two french braids going down the side of my head, but it looked rather
strange because I don't have that much hair so the bottom half of the braids
looked a little too thin- definitely not how I envisioned it.
I love the loose, effortless look of the fishtail braid though; it's the ideal look for a
summer.
