Greetings from NYC!
Just wanted to check in with you + say hi and keep you updated of where I'm currently at and what I'm doing. I flew this morning and landed in the late evening; I started to feel sick the minute I got off the airplane and although I'm trying to be a trooper, the truth is I could never hang feeling the way that I do right now! Sore throat, runny noise, itchy eyes, headache, sore body? yeah, totally not my thing. I tell you, being from LA definitely makes me a spoiled girl.

I'm currently super bundled up in bed, with a beanie, tons of layers and drinking a hot chocolate. My body could never adjust to this cold nyc weather every time I come but I hope it goes away quick this time around because it's definitely not going to be fun feeling sick and attending what I came here for.
Excited to be here as I got invited to attend the Victoria Secret Fashion Show taking place tomorrow night- which will air early December.
Miss Rih Rih, Biebs and Bruno will be performing at the show! AH!

photos taken with my iPhone by me

A lil' sneak peek from yesterday's backstage craziness from Victoria's Secret fashion show!
I had the opportunity to hang backstage and interview all the Angels, snaps photos and experience what goes into prepping these gals before the show: hair + makeup.
It was truly an incredible experience to be there and experience backstage- all the models were absolutely even more gorgeous in person and they all definitely were SO sweet and silly!

I had a few favorites that didn't disappoint: Lily Aldridge- Prettiest girl with the prettiest hair!, Frida Gustavsson- By far the sweetest, nicest and cutest! and Miranda Kerr- this girl definitely was the whole package; sweet, humble and such a pro with the media.

Hope you guys enjoy these lil' snippets of the gals, can you spot your favorite?

Stay tuned for more Victoria Secret Fashion Show photos coming up + what I wore!

Well hello there again!
I feel like I've been gone for soo long! Ever since I left NYC on the 8th, I feel
like my days have been slipping away so quickly due to traveling!
Sorry I haven't posted, totally unlike me but it's been quite a ride!

I'm currently in MOROCCO, ahhh (more on that soon!), but I wanted to say hi as well as get in my last favorite shots I took during backstage at Victoria Secret's fashion show!

Being behind the scenes of a production like the VS show was something I'd never experience, so you could imagine how ecstatic I was at the opportunity.
It was a bit overwhelming at times being surrounded by the massive group of people- photographers, journalists, editors, makeup/hair artists, publicists, bloggers, press- involved backstage.. just because there was SO much going on that you really didnt know where to start, or who to shoot first.
It was however, fascinating to see how each person works and how they get stuff done.

The VS models quietly sat in their makeup/hair chair as they had a storm of people in front of their face, flashing lights, asking questions, shouting their name and wanting to get their attention- a complete beautiful chaos, in my opinion! It was refreshing to see how enthusiastic and sweet each model I personally encountered with was- they definitely knew how to work the camera!

Everything was soooo fast paced that you really needed to seize the moment and take as many photos as you could so you capture each model, each moment and each second.

By far one of my favorite things I've had to cover!

Greetings from Morocco!
Arrived in Casablanca on the 9th to attend the Festi ModeCasablanca Fashion week and I couldn't have been more excited to be there. The first day in Casablanca was spent roaming the streets, having breakfast by the sea and later exploring the outdoor markets for pretty knick-knacks, bags and jewelry.

We spent a lot of the time walking and seemed like every little corner you turned, was a hidden gem. The people are beyond welcoming and so sweet, which made me appreciate the city even more.
The food has definitely caught me by surprise; in a good way of course.
The flavorful rice, the soft vegetables, delicious couscous, frites, chicken.. I mean, I've really been enjoying each meal here.

Will post more photos of the beautiful city soon, so check back in!

Cotton // Road to the Runway.

(all photos found on tumblr and pinterest)

Hi everyone!
So I'm really, really excited to  fianlly talk about and be working on this amazing campaign
with none other than, Cotton- you know the Fabric of Our Lives?

Ok well, last year they hosted Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show in South Beach, where
it's purpose was to showcase the versatility of cotton through putting together 1,440 looks
down the runway (one look per minute!-wow!) and show how cotton can be
worn day in and day out- all day.

This year it's bigger and better!
We are starting off with the Road to the Runway, where six fashion
influencers (that's where I come in!), each representing a
different region of the country, will help Cotton's Style Search Squads
narrow down the coolest street style shots from all around the nation.
We will be choosing 8 finalists from each region:

I'm of course representing the West region- woot, woot!
Carly Cristman of Carlycristman.com is representing the Midwest
Lisa Warninger of Urban Weeds represents the Northwest
Katy Atlas of Sugarlaws is coming from the South
Mattie James of Mattieologie from the Southeast
and Keiko Lynn of Keikolynn.com representing theNortheast

the final 48 finalists will be competing against each other to battle
out 6 final spots to win the ultimate spot at the end of the Road to the Runway...
which is a dream package!

Above are some cool inspiration photos that made me think of my region's style + vibe.
Totally laid-back chic.

So my role as a fashion influencer is to help the Style Search Squad capture great street style shots from my region- I have to make sure each photo truly captures the essence of the West coast style.
I will be guiding and helping the team with anything relating to my region through the final stage- the 24 Hour Runway show!

So excited to be a part of this campaign- its going to be so much fun having you guys on board helping me pick the winners all through the end of the campaign in March!

The other fashion influencers and I met a couple weeks ago when I was
in NYC at the Cotton offices; and it was great to be surrounded by such sweet
girls as well as the amazing Cotton team!

See you guys on the Road to the Runway,
xo

For our second day in beautiful Morocco, our amazing and super sweet tour guide, Hassan
( hi Hassan! we miss you!), took us on a nice tour of Casablanca stopping first to have breakfast: croissants, coffee, eggs,  and orange juice.

After breakfast, we had planned to visit The Hassan II Mosque,
which is a chef d'oeuvre of the Arab-Islamic architecture and it's one of the greatest achievements of the twentieth century, at 2pm.  The Hassan II Mosque is a place that houses tradition and Modernism; it's a haven of peace in which during one visit, all celestial religions meet.

As we walked up to the mosque, it gave me chills to be surrounded by the beautiful arches and architectural edifices surrounding us. As we approached the entrance, we had to take off our shoes and although it wasn't mandatory to cover our head, we did anyway to show our respects.

The breathtaking interior of the mosque was something out of a fairtytale; everything was so detailed and beautiful that it made you sit there for hours and appreciate the amount of work people put into building the Mosque. We got a tour of the prayer hall, which accommodates 25,000 worshippers and it's equipped with a removable roof.
It was truly a remarkable experience that I won't forget.

I wore this to visit the Mosque, I wanted to be covered up and be comfortable since we walked a lot that day! The photos were taken outside the Mosque, as it was a wide open space with a beautiful backdrop.

ps: I'm posting my outfit photos first before I post photos of the city, Mosque, markets, fashion week, etc! So stay tuned for those random posts!

After much walking and picturing taking of the beautiful streets and people of Casablanca, the girls and I ( I was spending all of my time with amazing girls Natalie, Christine, Lindsey and Caroline in Morocco together) decided to make a pit stop at this cute little restaurant where it had the perfect vibrant colored walls, amazing view of the city and pretty doorways. We rested our feet and took advantage of the gorgeous walls/doorways to take photos!

The days would go by so quickly because there was so much to see but we loved being busy all day. We had an itinerary that we tried to mostly stick to but would make last minute changes if we needed to. Our sweet tour guide, Hassan, definitely made everyday more enjoyable as he was really helpful with giving details, tips, and suggestions! He would also bargain with the locals for us when we were shopping!

Fashion Week in Casablanca took place at night around 7:30pm and it was always fun getting ready for that after a long day of walking, sight seeing, eating and shopping! It was a breath of fresh air to see a different fashion week aside from NYFW and learn about new designers.. More on that later!

Hope you've been enjoying my Morocco posts, still more to come! So stick around!
Thank you for reading!

Our last couple of days in Morocco, we drove 2.5 hours away from Casablanca to a beautiful almost secluded village called Oualidia (pronounce Walidia). Can't begin to tell you how beautiful this village was and everything it had to offer. The breathtaking backdrops in every corner were mesmerizing.

After a long drive there, we were finally greeted by the most sweetest staff in the luxury
hotel,La Sultana. OMG- AMAZING! They made us feel right at home. Our rooms were so pretty and cozy that it was hard to leave when exploring Oualidia.
Staying here was definitely the highlight of my trip with the girls- couldn't of asked for better getaway from the city.

More photos in Morocco, coming up...stay tuned!

For our second day in beautiful Oualidia, we spent the day having a marvelous lunch by the sea where we enjoyed the scenic view, cool brisk and cool water.

We talked for hours as we enjoyed each others company and view. After lunch, we decided to take a little break and do our own thing... I took a small nap because I felt I hadn't gotten enough
rest since NYC. After a couple hours passed, we met up at 4pm for a boat ride! It was the cutest little ride- our guide showed us around the lagoon where we got to see the old castle of the Royals!

Definitely one of my highlights of oualidia- oh and of course all the yummy food!

As soon as I got back from Morocco, I was excited to finally be home and start wearing pieces that are more "me"... as in beanies, skinny jeans, blazers, leather jackets... you know, that Westcoast style that best defines me? Well, as I got settled into my day-to-day routines back in Los Angeles after traveling for almost two weeks, I jumped at getting dressed in what finally felt like fall in LA to hang with my parents and catch up over lunch.

Since the weather was a bit gloomy and chilly, I threw on a super minimal look that not only could transition from day-to-night, but made me feel completely cool too! One of my favorite pieces is this heather gray sweatshirt that is 100% cotton- big high-five for The Fabric of Our Lives! Cotton is one of those fibers that I really look for when purchasing certain pieces of clothing- it's versatile, long-lasting and easy to work with.

The sweater is by far one of my favorite (and prized) items in my closet- I love dressing up the sweater with pretty fancy skirts and heels for a glam look too!
So, since I like to incorporate cotton into my looks.. I'd love to see how you incorporate cotton into your style! So make sure to go have your picture taken by the amazing Style Search Squad in a city near you or you can upload a photo to be entered everyday! I'm kinda jealous that each week you can win $1,440 just by submitting your cotton style shots online! Ah!

I'm excited to have Cotton's Style Search Squad come to my region (West) in a couple of weeks (the first week of Decemember!) to snap some stylish Californians! I will be hanging with them so make sure to come out to have us take your photo! Remember, the grand prize for one lucky winner from each of the six regions is a dream package- $2,500 and a VIP trip to Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show in South Beach.. so hurry and start uploading! Good luck!

Finally! My long overdue post featuring my photos from the beautiful Morocco where we visited Casablanca (to attend FestiMode Fashion Week!) and breathtaking Oualidia for a more relaxing time!

Morocco was definitely on my wish list of places to visit and I'm so thankful I was able to
experience it; it's truly a beautiful country with so much to offer.
I'll let my photos speak for themselves...
because a picture can say a thousand words.

Hopefully it won't be my last time visiting..
thank you Caroline and everyone who made this trip possible!

Part I: The first set of photos are in Casablanca where fashion week was taking place and where we visited the markets, Mosque and had amazing city views!

Part II: These photos were taken in Oualidia, Morocco where it felt like paradise! Truly a spectacular gem where we really got to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Hope you guys enjoyed these photos! And if you're able to travel anywhere, I suggest booking a nice little getaway to morocco!

L.A. is being a little weird with the weather right now; it can't decide wether it wants to be hot or chilly.
Luckily for me, I can still have the best of both worlds in late November. For example, this weekend was exceptionally warm on Saturday so I sported an easy-breezy look that took me from day to night just by switching out the shorts to skinnys! Total sucker for denim on denim, aren't you?

On a brighter note, it's Cyber Monday! To get in the spirit, I'd love

Yay for the Holidays!!

It's been 3 weeks into the campaign already (whoa! Finally decided to switch my lip color ( I always wear my fave BabyLips by Maybelline, everyday) so got a little daring and decided to wear a red lippy a couple of days ago! Definitely changed my attitude- I felt more confident and bad ass, was that supposed to happen?

I get really comfortable with wearing the same kind of makeup look everyday and using the same products, but I know I should be a little more adventurous... so I'll try be more open to wearing different lip colors from now on! A makeup routine post is much needed!

Anyway, wore this to a couple of meetings through out the day. Totally love that the sequins definitely add some spark and glam to my look plus it helped me get in the holiday spirit too! My favorite sweater at the moment btw... speaking of favorite, these dope/amazing/cool/ill jeans have been my go-to jeans for the last couple of weeks! They have the perfect amount of edginess and distress that everything I throw on with it looks pretty rad; and THOSE zippers. whoa. those zippers.
 just amazing.

Anyway, I'm off to pack and ship some orders! Get your bracelets, HERE- we are almost sold out-

Mixin' it up with wearing something a little more 'put together' because you all know I'm always more on the minimal-sneakers-side. So this felt dressed up for me but in a "not trying so hard" kinda way which is always a plus in my book. These booties are def a staple must-have for their versatility!
